SLINGERLANDS, N.Y. -- Another ShopRite is coming to the Capital Region. This time, one is coming to Slingerlands.

A ground breaking ceremony took place at the Vista Technology Campus, which will be home to the new supermarket.

ShopRite is looking to hire more than 400 full and part-time employees. Management says there will also be an on-site dietitian, a gourmet coffee bar and much more.

"We look forward to bringing the great value and price that ShopRite is known for and adding to that great service, as well as outstanding value and commitment to the customer, second to none in the Capital Region. Some of the great services we will have at this store will be a shop from home, a great Wi-Fi cafe where you can sit and have a cup of coffee," said Tom Urtz, ShopRite VP of Human Resources and Consumer Affairs.

The new store is expected to open in 2012.

ShopRite opened a store in Niskayuna this fall and announced plans for a shop on Central Avenue in Albany last week.
