POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie high school English teacher, charged with stabbing a fellow teacher 16 times, has been released from jail. According to the Dutchess County Jail, someone posted the $100,000 bond for Ronette Ricketts.
Ricketts is charged with second degree assault, first degree attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim, Cynthia Glozier, an English teacher at the high school, is being treated at Saint Francis Hospital.
Police and school personnel are still investigating the incident, and Ricketts will be in court on Wednesday.
