WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing his mother, stepfather and stepbrother before setting their house on fire in July.
Twenty-four-year-old Matthew Slocum's trial is scheduled to begin February 27th in Washington County Court. Pre-trial hearings are set for Wednesday, February 23rd.
Slocum pleaded not guilty to the 11 charges against him, including three counts of murder, tampering with evidence, petit and grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.
Slocum is accused of killing his mother, Lisa Coon Harrington, her husband, Dan Harrington, and his son, Joshua O'Brien, 24, and then setting their White Creek home on fire before fleeing with his girlfriend and their baby son.
Slocum's girlfriend, Loretta Colegrove, has not been charged.
