HUDSON VALLEY -- A fixture on the Hudson Valley music circuit and former member of "The Band" is sidelined. A medical procedure will prevent Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famer and Hudson Valley resident Levon Helm from performing at several of his Midnight Ramble House concerts in Ulster County.
The following statement was posted on the 71-year-old's website:
"Levon will be undergoing a medical procedure that will necessitate his absence from the February 11th, 18th and 25th Rambles. We wish him the best and we know he will have a speedy recovery."
Helm's Midnight Ramble concerts in Woodstock have fueled a big comeback in recent years.
