FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Adirondack Park Agency votes today whether to move forward on a plan for the biggest project in Adirondack Park history. Board members have spent the past two days discussing details and revisions for the 6,200 acre club and resort project for Tupper Lake.
The plan calls for a new resort with several hundred housing units, new campgrounds, a complete renovation of the Big Tupper ski area, and a marina for Tupper Lake. The project would be spread out over 15 years, and could create hundreds of jobs and more than $500 million in property sales and related economic benefits.
