SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- One of the men accusing Bernie Fine of sexually assaulting him when he was a boy is dropping a civil suit against Fine. That revelation is coming after an interview with the Syracuse Post Standard.

Zach Tomaselli, 23, admitted to the paper that he doctored emails from Syracuse Police and the Superintendent of his former school district before passing them on to the paper.

Tomaselli still maintains he was abused by Fine, but in a text message to the paper following the interview, Tomaselli said he was "sick of this" and wanted to be left alone.

The law office representing Tomaselli in his civil suit, Jeff Anderson and Associates, released a statement saying, “Our office, along with co-counsel Alan Perer, is withdrawing representation of Zach Tomaselli and will be dismissing his case. We are sad and disappointed that we cannot pursue justice for Zach, but we will continue to support him in his recovery.”

U.S. Attorney Steve Clymer, who is heading up the Bernie Fine investigation, had no comment.

Fine has denied all allegations against him.

Meanwhile, the Board of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame has decided to keep Fine in the Hall. He was inducted just last year.

Kim Wells from the Hall says Fine has not been arrested or charged with anything yet, so there was not a need to remove him from the Hall of Fame.
