SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Lawyers for Coach Jim Boeheim and Syracuse University have filed a motion to have the court location moved for the defamation lawsuit against him.

Bobby Davis and Michael Lang, the two men accusing Bernie Fine of sexual abuse, announced in December that they were filing a civil lawsuit against SU's head coach and the University. The step-brothers claim that once their accusations were made public, they were defamed by Jim Boeheim, who said he believed the two were lying and trying to make money off the case.

Attorneys filed a motion Tuesday to have the case moved from New York City to Syracuse.

Gloria Alred, who is representing Davis and Lang, says she is reviewing their motion to change venue, but says they filed in New York City because of "…concerns that the coach would have an unfair advantage in Syracuse where he is a local hero and the University is a local employer."
