NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Wednesday was National Signing Day around the country and while most athletes had already given their verbal commitments, it was time to officially put pen to paper.
After helping to lead the Newburgh football team to their first ever appearance in the New York State Championship game, Senior Lineman Mikal Myers signed his Nation Letter of Intent to attend the University of Connecticut.
The First Team All-State selection committed to the Huskies in the fall after attending a pre-season camp. He's been working hard since the season ended to be ready for his first day in Storrs and he's excited to see what the future holds.
