STATEWIDE -- Two of the accusers at the center of the Syracuse University child sex scandal are supporting a bill to extend the statute of limitations for abuse victims.

Bobby Davis, Mike Lang, and their attorney Gloria Allred joined Assemblywoman Margaret Markey to push the Child Victim's Act. Both men said they were molested by former assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine back in the 1980's.

Prosecutors declined to charge Fine saying too much time had passed. The bill, which has stalled in the Senate, would create a one-year window for victims of all ages to bring their alleged abusers to justice.

Lang and Davis have a pending defamation suit against Syracuse University, and long-time coach Jim Boeheim. They said they plan to join their attorney to meet with legislators to push for the bill's passage.
