COLONIE, N.Y. -- The doors are now officially open on a brand new Northeast Sales Operation Center for YNN's parent company, Time Warner Cable, which is bringing more jobs to the area.

Representatives from Time Warner Cable along with local leaders were on hand Wednesday for the ribbon cutting of the new facility on New Karner Road in Colonie.

The building was once a Sears property and is poised for growth. There will be an initial staff of 240 people, but that will grow to more than 400.

The 75,000 square foot center will serve customers from as far south as the Carolinas and as far east as New England.

Officials say the investment is worth while for the region.

Chris Van Name, TWC Regional VP of Sales and New Market Development, said, "First, obviously it's a great investment for our employees and our customers as well as the Capital Region. Second, it's a fabulous facility for our employees. It's a real investment in an upbeat area, modern facility. It really inspires a lot of people to come work for Time Warner Cable that will do a great job, both selling for us and providing a great customer experience for all of our customers and future customers."

A job fair will be held next Wednesday at the new facility.
