DUCTHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police in Dutchess County say working together helped them catch a woman they say robbed a number of businesses.

Police say last month, Kendra Erwin, 36, entered a Citgo gas station in the City of Poughkeepsie with a handgun. She stole about $400 in cash and cigarettes before taking off. She was arrested and charged with robbery.

Police say Erwin faces more robbery charges in neighboring Hyde Park and the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Detectives say they solved the crime by sharing information on similar robberies with their neighboring departments.
