ELMONT, N.Y. -- We are potentially less than a week a way from history in horse racing. I'll Have Another looks to be the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win all three legs of the Triple Crown.
His final challenge, the Belmont Stakes is on Saturday. This is the longest of the three races at a mile and a half.
I'll Have Another has been working out every morning, doing basically the same routine, walking or galloping that mile and a half.
Trainer Doug O'Neil is looking for specific things during these workouts and said he likes what he's been seeing.
If you're looking for a local tie and a horse to cheer for, Mechanicville native Chad Brown trained Street Life, who will also be running in the Belmont.
