NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Crews worked through the overnight hours to complete the rigging process for the wire Wallenda will walk across on Friday. They used a helicopter to tow the wire across the Niagara gorge Tuesday evening.

Terrapin Point was closed to the public for about two hours so the helicopter could string the necessary cables. The helicopter also strung cable for a fly cam like those used over stadiums.

Crews expect to wrap up their work on installing the cable any time now. They'll then use a wire tensioner to pull it tight before safety checks begin.

Wallenda is expected to take about forty minutes to cover the 1,800 feet from the U.S. to Canada.
