ALBANY, N.Y. -- Jury selection continues today in the trial of the teenager accused of stabbing Tyler Rhodes, 17, to death. Nine jurors were seated on Tuesday.
Police said Jah Lah Vanderhorst stabbed Rhodes in the chest back on April 30th of last year during a fight in Hoffman Park. He faces 25 years to life if convicted.
Opening statements in the trial are expected to begin later this afternoon, or tomorrow morning, depending on how long it takes to seat the remaining jurors.
Six more need to be selected for the panel, three more jurors, then three alternates.
