BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Police sources tell YNN that the body of a surgeon wanted for questioning in a fatal hospital shooting in Buffalo has been found behind his home in Lakeview.

Sources say the body of Dr. Timothy Jorden was discovered by a police officer and it appears he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Jorden -- a trauma surgeon at Erie County Medical Center -- was wanted for questioning in the shooting death of 33-year-old Jackie Wisnewski. She was shot to death in a stairwell at a building on the campus of ECMC on Wednesday morning, prompting a lockdown of the campus and two nearby schools.

On Thursday, Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said that a nationwide manhunt was underway for Jorden, but police had been focusing on the wooded area behind his home.
