After the jury returned a not guilty verdict in the Roger Clemens trial, the attention is now turning to his chances of getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Our Solomon Syed joined us from Cooperstown with more.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Rocket may have been found innocent in a court of law, but the court of public opinion is not so forgiving.

Ultimately, fans won't cast a ballot for the Hall of Fame. Instead, 650 baseball writers from across America will decide Clemens' fate. He needs 75 percent of the vote to get in, but that may be tougher than pitching a perfect game.

Clemens has been connected to performance enhancing drugs for years, with many now convinced his electric fastball got an unnatural boost.

However, based on stats alone, Clemens would be a shoo-in. The Hall of Fame, itself, recognizes this. They have several of Clemens' caps and a glove already on display here, commemorating some of his record-setting performances, and either way, they will honor the voters' decision.

It should be noted - one of the qualifications for enshrinement is that the candidate must have demonstrated sportsmanship, character and integrity, so the voters won't just be looking at stats alone.

Clemens will appear for the first time on the ballot this December, so we'll find out pretty soon if he strikes out with the voters or not.
