FULTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A local elementary school teacher has pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography.

Authorities say Timothy Brehmer, 35, of Broadalbin, a music teacher in the Ballston Spa School District, admitted to using the internet to access child pornography websites between April 2007 and December 2011. They say while accessing some of the websites, Brehmer downloaded multiple still images and videos onto his home computer.

Brehmer faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in September. As part of his plea deal, Brehmer also agreed to surrender his New York State teaching certificate and resign from the school district.
