SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Saratogians are celebrating jazz in June as the city readies for the 35th Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Festival at SPAC.

The festival typically draws upwards of 15,000 people. SPAC says more than half a million people have attended the festival since it began in 1978.

"They come from throughout the Northeast and it certainly is an opportunity to learn and experience some of the greatest jazz musicians in the world. But in addition, it generates are a great deal of revenue for the community," said SPAC Executive Director Marcia White.

"Really proud to partner again with SPAC on this, the 35th anniversary of the jazz festival, to really show people that we are united in partnering and promoting our mutual goals. That of course is bettering arts, as well as the economic impact to our community," said Saratoga Springs Mayor Scott Johnson.

The Jazz Festival is on June 30th and July 1st.
