WHITEHALL, N.Y. -- A Whitehall man has been arrested after a two-year-old was found wandering alone at a playground.

Police said Timothy Crawford Sr., 29, was caring for the child at the time. They believe the child was able to get out of the house and cross a street to get to the playground and was found wearing only a diaper.

Crawford has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was issued a ticket and will reappear in court at a later date.
