TROY, N.Y. -- Rockin' on the River made its return to the Collar City. The first show coincided with the start of summer and a day full of heat and humidity.
The numbers weren't as high as usual, but those who did attend enjoyed some tunes from Irish band, Hair of the Dog.
Even with temperatures in the 90s, coolers still weren't allowed, but there was a cooling station and water selling for a dollar.
But despite the weather, a large crowd still gathered at the riverfront for a night out, while trying to stay cool any way they could.
"I went swimming earlier and AC, and drinking lemonade and wearing a cute dress," East Greenbush resident Kelsey Brozawski said.
"I wanted my friends to cancel, I did not want to do it, but now that I’m here, I’m glad I ventured out," Ravena resident Lauren Young said.
Eighties rock and roll tribute band Aquanett is set to perform next week.
