Charges expected to be upgraded for Crown Point man accused of shooting brother

CROWN POINT, N.Y. -- A Crown Point man could soon face second-degree murder charges after police said he fatally shot his brother in the head.
According to State Police, David Lang, 70, shot his brother Russell Lang, 63, in the head at a home on Lake Road Tuesday. Russell was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont, where he died Wednesday afternoon.
David Lang was taken to the Essex County Jail on attempted murder charges. However, the Essex County District Attorney plans to file new charges in the wake of Russell Lang's death.
