West Nile Virus detected in mosquito sample
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The West Nile Virus has been detected in a mosquito sample from Pittsfield, according to the state department of public health.
Officials say the sample was collected Tuesday. They say they also found infected mosquitoes in a sample collected in Boston last week.
No human cases have been reported. Six cases were reported last year.
