RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A ten year employee of Rensselaer County has been arrested on fraud charges.

Brenda Kennedy, 30, of Lansingburgh, has been accused of stealing nearly $75,000 from the county health department. She works as a medical billing clerk with the county.

Kennedy is facing charges of grand larceny, defrauding in the government and falsifying business records, all of which are felonies, as well as the misdemeanor of official misconduct.

Officials say there could be additional charges.
