Halfmoon woman guilty of attempted murder for stabbing husband
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. -- A Halfmoon woman has been found guilty of attempted murder and assault charges for stabbing her husband more than a dozen times last summer.
After about five hours of deliberations, a jury in Saratoga County Court found Lydia Ann Salce, 51, guilty of second-degree attempted murder and two counts of first-degree assault.
The Saratoga County district attorney said Salce stabbed her husband, Michael McKee, during a domestic dispute in their home in August of 2011. McKee was hospitalized for a week for his injuries, which included two punctured lungs.
Salce faces 25 years in prison when she is sentenced on Aug. 31.
