ROTTERDAM, N.Y. -- A late night crash on the Thruway sends nearly 3,000 gallons of whey spilling across the road. State Police said it happened around 7:50 p.m. on Friday night at the entrance ramp to exit 25A in Rotterdam.
The truck overturned on to the grass near the roadway, forcing officials to close the eastbound entrance ramp for about an hour while the vehicle was removed. The driver, Robert Mason, 57, of Waterville, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
