Bus driver gets probation
WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A longtime Corinth bus driver has been sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service after police say she duct taped the mouth of a disabled student.
Marjorie Jones, 63, was also fined $200 but spared jail time, despite requests from the prosecution.
Jones was arrested back in September and charged with harassment. Police say the abuse happened the previous winter while the bus was parked at the Prospect Child and Family Center in Queensbury. They say the victim, a seven-year-old girl at the time, is unable to talk due to her disability.
