SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Gavin Staulters' court appearance has been adjourned until August 14th. Staulters is accused of driving drunk and hitting Kari Liedell, 14.

Police say the 21-year-old was driving on West Milton Road Saturday night when he struck Liedell. He has been charged with DWI and was released on $5,000 bail.

He was due in court Tuesday afternoon, but the defense and prosecution requested an adjournment. He is due back in court on August 14th.

Meanwhile, grief counselors are available at Ballston Spa High School to help fellow students cope with Liedell's death. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday.
