COBLESKILL, N.Y. -- Cobleskill's Bull's Head Inn is up for sale.
An auction was held Wednesday, with bidding starting at $250,000, but the property did not sell.
Now that the auction is over, people will be able to make private offers.
The owner said flooding from Tropical Storm Irene put a damper on their business, and the slow economy didn't help either. Both contributed to the business' closing back in December.
Owner Anthony Giammatti said, "Everybody has a story about the place. They either worked here as a dishwasher when they were going to college, or were in high school. There's a lot of people that worked here as a waitress, as chefs. It's a real community kind of restaurant. Everybody knows the Bull's Head in the whole county."
While the property hasn't been sold yet, furniture and equipment is already on its way out.
