Ellenville man arrested for child pornography

ELLENVILLE, N.Y. -- An Ellenville man is arrested on felony child pornography charges. That's according to the Ellenville Village police chief, who also said the man is a registered sex offender.
Police said John H. Parker, 54, is charged with possessing and promoting sexual performance by a child. They said while there's no evidence he created the images himself, the police department found hundreds of pornographic materials from Parker's mother's house on Market Street where he'd been living.
The Police Chief said its the first arrest for child pornography in his 26 years working in Ellenville. Parker remains in custody at the Ulster County Jail without bail.
