UNITED STATES -- This week, House republicans voted to repeal the affordable care act. This makes it the 31st time, even though it is clear the Democrat controlled U.S. Senate will not take up the measure.

Representative Nan Hayworth, who joined with her GOP colleagues to vote for the repeal, says she believes that every American should have good affordable healthcare and insurance- but that this is the wrong law. She says it will confer probably more than $2 trillion worth of Washington generated cost on the American public at a time when we already have a debt approaching $16 trillion.

"We need to grow our economy. It's definitely been a break on hiring. Employers, small businesses especially, are very worried, and rightly so about taxes and penalties and regulations, choking from red tape is coming from Washington already,” Hayworth said.

Hayworth also says that replacement of the law is an initiative that all Republicans have been working on in various ways. She says they have a number of bills that they can bring to the floor quickly, but it's important not to rush into something.
