TROY, N.Y.-- Instead of firing up your grill this weekend, why not have someone else do it for you?

From ribs, wet and dry, to chicken and and something called a barbecue sundae, thousands took their pick this weekend at the fifth annual Troy Pig Out.

Crowds packed the riverfront, sampling barbecue from vendors all around the northeast.
The two day festival kicked off Saturday and features a People's Choice St. Louis Rib competition.

We caught up with vendors and festival participants who said you can eat great barbecue all day, without having to clean up.

"Gotta be one of the few places where it's accepted socially to have your hands full of barbecue sauce, right?" asked our reporter.

"Absolutely. You get as messy as you want," said a participant.

"Apparently there's a difference between barbecuing and grilling," said our reporter.

"It's true. We're here for barbecuing. We don't grill. Any moron can grill," the participant said.

The winner of this year's pig out will qualify for a spot in the National BBQ Championships.
