BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A Westchester County family is awaiting test results that could be the answer to their prayers, as well as some closure to a year-long nightmare. The family of Lauren Spierer has been searching for their missing daughter for 13 months now, with no major leads in the case.

There are reports a fisherman in Indiana recently found a skull, nearly 50 miles from Bloomington, where the Indiana University co-ed was last seen. Family members are awaiting test results of the human skull that was found under water to see if the remains belong to Spierer.

Thousands of volunteers have helped in the search since her disappearance, and no suspects have been named. Her parents have since moved from Westchester County to Bloomington in order to continue searching for her.
