Horse owner sentenced for animal cruelty
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. -- A Greenfield woman convicted of animal cruelty for neglecting her horses was sentenced on Tuesday.

The Saratoga County District Attorney's Office said Ann Arnold received three years probation, a $500 fine, and is also required to give away her horses in 60 days.

Arnold was convicted in May of 19 misdemeanors stemming from improper care of her horses for failing to provide proper food and water.

During her three years of probation, Arnold is not allowed to own any farm animals.
