PITTSFIELD, M.A. -- A young black bear seen wandering in the Bay State for about a week has been captured and released to a safer environment.

According to officials in Massachusetts, the 150-pound black bear was spotted roaming a Pittsfield neighborhood for food.

The bear was caught on Tuesday and brought to an undisclosed location for release.
