NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Calling hours are scheduled from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm today for a young woman that police said was killed by her boyfriend. Family and friends will gather at the White and Venuto Funeral Home in Newburgh to remember Alexis Harris this afternoon.

The 20-year-old's body was discovered in her boyfriend's home on Saturday. Police have charged her boyfriend, Yannick Evina-Ze, 30, with her death. Officers were called to Evina-Ze's house on West Street Saturday for a welfare check and inside they found Harris' body.

Police said there were signs of a physical altercation in the home but have not yet given a cause of death.

Evina-Ze is facing a second degree murder charge and is being held at the Orange County Jail.

A funeral service will be held for Harris Thursday morning at the King of Kings Lutheran Church.
