AMSTERDAM, N.Y. -- Family and friends embraced each other as they gathered to say goodbye to their son, brother, and friend, Jonathan DeJesus.

"He was so funny, so nice, so cool, that’s why everyone loved him, he was like my little brother," said Tony Pair, a friend.

DeJesus and his 16-year-old friend, Paul Damphier, were killed on July 9th. Their former classmates, Anthony Brasmiester, 16, and Matthew Phelps, 15, have been charged with their murders.

The tragedy has raised a number of concerns for parents, and they're calling on the city for help.

School board members were also on site, handing out flyers inviting the community to a public discussion on how to deal with grief and loss.

Long after calling hours were over, friends were still together, filming a music video as a tribute to their loved ones.
