Big Blue is back in town

The champs are back in town. After a year hiatus, the New York Giants have returned to UAlbany for training camp. This year marks the team's 17th season in the Capital Region. Before Big Blue can hit the field on Friday for their first practice, Thursday was about move-in day. Marisa Jacques was at training camp from day 1.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- "I enjoy coming to Albany. It's fun to have roommates and staying in dorms. I went to summer camp when I was ten years old and I feel like I still get to go to summer camp at 31," said Giants Quarterback Eli Manning.

Not exactly summer camp, but Eli Manning and company are now on the UAlbany campus and ready for training camp. The Giants are the defending Super Bowl champions, but they understand they need to be better this year.

A big reason the Giants were so successful was the stepped up play of Eli Manning and his receiving core. Also Victor Cruz who was basically unknown at this point last year. After setting the single season receiving record in 2011, he's definitely well known around camp this year.

The guy who made the most noise on day 1 wasn't a player who was with the Giants last season or even a rookie. It was former Dallas Cowboys backup Tight End Martellus Bennett who was sent to New York after four years in Texas.

The Giants will be in Albany through August 15th.
