FULTON COUNTY -- A Capital Region native wins a million dollar lottery scratch off prize.

Ian Hennessey, 24, purchased the Cashword game ticket back in June at Frank’s West End Market on West Fulton Street while visiting family in Gloversville.

Hennessey, who now lives in Syracuse and works as a car dealer, said he doesn't plan to stop working. While he doesn't have any grand plans for spending the money, he will probably put it to good use.

"Right now, I don't really have any big plans with it. I have some student loans to pay off. So, I'm going to go ahead and do that. Me and my girlfriend just purchased a house, so put a lot towards that too," said Hennessey.

By the way, the game he won has a lump sum payment of more than $661,000.
