SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Running, jumping, diving, climbing, crawling, and finishing absolutely exhausted is how hundreds of people spent their Saturday morning in Maple Ridge. The Maple Ski Ridge Mud Runner is a 5 kilometer course designed by local military runners that includes natural and manmade obstacles.
There's mud, dumpster dives, slip and slides, hay, and mud. A big crowd came to watch too, to cheer on everyone who managed to cross the finish line.
"It was kind of come out, and have fun, doing one of those adventure races. I'm going to do the Warrior Dash in two weeks, so I think it was a good precursor for it," said Robert Irwin, First Place Finisher.
Partial proceeds will go to benefit the Albany Veterans Center.
