Orange County 911 Center without radio capabilities
ORANGE COUNTY -- Following Saturday's severe thunderstorms, the Orange County Emergency 911 Center experienced a loss of radio and paging capabilities with first responders. It happened around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday after lightning damaged the center's internal communications.
County Executive Ed Diana is assuring residents that there is no interruption or delay of emergency service as a result of this incident. Orange County Emergency Communications is currently working with local services throughout the county to respond to the public as necessary. Numerous technicians are currently working on resolving this matter.
