LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- A DWI checkpoint set up near the annual log bay event on Lake George led to dozens of arrests and tickets. The checkpoint found six DWIs, ten instances of underage drinking, eight unlawful possessions of marijuana, and 27 traffic tickets.
Police also dealt with criminal impersonation, harassment, and possession of a hypodermic needle.
The checkpoint was conducted by the Washington County Sheriff's Department and State Forest Rangers.
