TROY, N.Y. -- Troy police are looking for the driver who crashed a stolen car and led police on a brief chase.

Police said a patrol officer heard a loud crash at Adam and First streets where he discovered a car that had struck a tree and came to rest against a building. The officer saw a man running from the scene and he gave chase, but the suspect got away.

The car was reported stolen Monday from Colonie.
