MONTICELLO, N.Y. -- A Monticello Bloods gang member is sentenced for a shoot that left the victim wheelchair-bound for life.

Daquan Gray, 21, will spend 65 years in prison for last summer's gang assault.

The DA says Gray shot his victim in the neck at the Evergreen Housing Complex in the Village of Monticello. The disagreement was over a woman, between the victim and another ranking Bloods member.

At the time, Gray was already on parole for a 2008 shooting.

Three fellow Bloods were also sentenced to five years for surrounding the victim and preventing him from escaping.
