TROY, N.Y. -- A Troy man was rushed to the hospital after police say he was shot several times inside his home.

Troy police say it happened on Sausse Avenue around 2 p.m. Friday. Police say it appears two people entered the home, shot the victim several times in the chest, then took off running on Oakwood Avenue.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether they were invited or forced their way in.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center and is expected to survive.
