POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie will be the latest to receive upgraded real-time information at its train station. Poughkeepsie will be the seventh station in the system to receive the upgrades, which include brand new LCD monitors displaying departure and arrival times, track numbers, and train statuses. This information will be available both for Metro North trains and Amtrak trains.

Eight existing platform signs will be converted by early September.

While the old signs only displayed whether a train was delayed or on time, the new system will show the exact times trains will be departing.
