SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- One person is dead after a car crash on the Northway. It happened Tuesday night between exits 11 and 12.

One southbound lane had to be shut down as police investigated, backing up traffic.

State Police have not released the identity of the driver as they say next of kin is still being notified. They have also not yet indicated what might have caused the wreck.
