Washington County offering Hyper Reach Program to residents
WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Residents with cell phones in Washington County can now sign up for the county's Hyper Reach Program.
The Department of Public Safety says the program works as a reverse 911 call for residents who sign up with the system. Officials say the new program now allows mass dials to both land lines and cell phones. The system allows law enforcement officials to mass call residents when there's an emergency.
Officials say they'll be able to improve the way they deliver information and response plans using the program.
