ALBANY, N.Y. -- Community leaders with the SNUG anti-gun group are holding another "Peace in the Streets" campaign today. This event features free food and games for children.

It's being held today from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Elizabeth Street, between Alexander and Fourth Avenue.

SNUG is a program of Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region. Their focus is to keep children off the street and away from guns.

Earlier this year, SNUG was forced to shut down because of funding, but the Albany Common Council voted to help out the group's finances.

SNUG is ‘guns’ spelled backwards.
