ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- A Goshen woman is dead after a four-car crash in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Linda Rooney, 51, was killed after the car she was riding in crashed into another car that was attempting to merge back onto a busy highway.

Police said a teenager was pulling back onto I-78 after fixing a flat tire on the left shoulder. That's when the car driven by Rooney's husband smashed into it. Their car spun around, hitting two other vehicles, including a tractor trailer.

Linda Rooney died, but her husband, daughter and a 15-year-old survived the accident.

In total, eight people, including two children, were taken to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to severe.
