NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Newburgh City Police are investigating a possible attempted kidnapping case Monday afternoon.

Police say two young girls were approached by a man in a minivan who was claiming to be the girls’ uncle. One of the girls ran to a home and grabbed an adult, who was able to see the suspect before he drove off.

The man is described in his mid 30s to early 40s with dark hair and no facial hair and was driving a newer model dark gray or blue minivan.
